Actor and Entrepreneur Ryan Reynolds Mint Mobile to be acquired for $1.35 Billion

These days it seems like major acquisitions are the name of the game. On Friday, T-Mobile announced that they will acquire the Ka’ena Corporation. There is a lot of meat to this deal, the Ka’ena Corporation includes the subsidiaries Ultra Mobile, Plum, and major cellular giant, Mint Mobile

T-Mobile is the nation’s second largest provider of wireless services in America. The deal is recorded to be around $1.35 billion with roughly 39% in cash and the reminder in stock. Mr. Ryan Reynolds is the owner of Mint Mobile and couldn’t be more happy with the announcement. It has been stated that Reynolds, along with co-owner Mr. Diageo would keep an ongoing minority interest in the company. 

The Canadian and American actor began his career in entertainment in 1991 with the soap opera ‘Hillside’. Since, Ryan has grown into quite the entrepreneur. In 2018, Reynolds started his production company Maximum Effort with a three year deal with Fox. In 2021, the marketing division was acquired by MNTN software. Also in 2018, Reynolds acquired a stake in the company Aviation American Gin. In 2021, Reynolds purchased Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney for $2.5 million. That same year, his wife Blake Lively launched her drink line Betty Buzz in partnership with Maximum Effort

 Mr. Ryan Reynolds knows a good deal when he sees one, and it seems he just might have hit the jackpot! The acquisition of Mint Mobile by T-Mobile will place Ryan Reynolds in the league of major players changing the landscape of business.
