The headlines coming over the news broadcast this morning was once again somber. Actor and singer Lance Reddick was found dead at his home in Studio City (Los Angeles), California. Reddick is most known for his work as Officer Cedrick Daniels on the HBO series ‘The Wire’ and in the ‘John Wick’ films.
In addition, Reddick could be seen in his recurring roles on ‘Lost’, ‘Fringe’, and ‘Oz.’ Lance Reddick was on a press tour in support of the ‘John Wick’ franchise and was scheduled to appear on the Kelly Clarkson show next week. The entire entertainment career is in mourning of the news Lance Reddick passing.
At press time, law enforcement are investigating, but says it appears to be no file play and his passing appears to be of natural causes. An autopsy will be conducted.
In addition to the ‘John Wick’ franchise, Lance Reddick had several ongoing unreleased projects, which included Disney+ series, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians.’ Reddick’s credits date back nearly 25+ years with his breakthrough coming in the television series ‘New York Undercover.’
Lance Reddick earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1994, and studied classical music composition at University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. In 2007, Reddick released Contemplations & Remembrances.
Lance Reddick is survived by his wife Stephanie, a son and his daughter. Mr. Lance Reddick – A true pioneer and definition of Black Excellence! We will forever miss you~ Renzo
