“I don’t Want to Miss a Thing”, the unforgettable tune by America’s favorite rock band Aerosmith has more meaning today than it did when it ripped through the charts in 98’, winning an Academy Award for Best Music (Original Song). For 5+ decades, the legendary band, Aerosmith has re-invented the rock-n-roll genre, by simply doing it their way! After 15 studio albums, 16 compilation albums, and six live albums, the band is giving the fans an encore of sorts with the Aerosmith Peace Out: The Farewell Tour. With band members Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and lead man Steven Tyler at the helm, you best believe, we’re in for one hell of a show!
The Peace Out: The Farewell Tour began on Saturday, September 2nd in front of a sold-out show in Philadelphia. The 40-show tour, and the remaining dates are logistically spread out through the continental U.S. and Canada, concluding in Montreal on January 26, 2024. The two-hour set show includes a set-list from all the Aerosmith favorites. From ‘Dude (Looks Like A Lady)’, ‘Seasons of Wither’, and even ‘Walk this Way’, the band pulls out the best of the best!
If Aerosmith’s opening night in Philly was any indication of what we can expect from the rest of the Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, ladies and gentlemen; we are in for a treat! At 75-year-old Steven Tyler is amazing, wearing his hallmark scarf and all, hits his signature high-pitched vocals with ease. To top it off, the ambience of the stage and set of the Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, is electric with confetti and streamers raining from the rafters.
