With two editions, the 2500 HD ZR2 and the 2500 ZR2 Bison, the Chevrolet Silverado makes a bold statement. The 2500 HD ZR2 series is light years removed from the previous Z71 model. Built on the back of the three 1/4 ton Silverado 2500 HD, the ZR2 comes equip with a 6.6-liter V8 with 401 hp, and 464 lb-ft of torque, navigated by an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. Of course, buyers can upgrade to a Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiessel V-8 which boosts production to 470 hp, with an amazing 975 lb’s of torque. Either way you go, you will have to hold back the horses. Trust me!
Intimidating and exhilarating, the Silverado HD ZR2 comes with tow hooks up front adding flare to opposing traffic hearing the roar and catching a glance from thier rear view mirror. The flow-tie Chevy badge in the grille, barrows down on by-standers and makes its presence known. Availabe in the crew cab/short bed configuration, the truck has all the capacity needed to handle any job. With a 1.5 inch suspension lift, the HD ZR2 sits up high enough to see the world from a distance, but close enough to stay gounded nestled on 35-inch all terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels.
