What better way to end the year than to drop an Epic EP to not only excite your fanbase, but to set a benchmark for what’s next? PinkPantheress has just done both with her latest project titled, “Take Me Home’. The three track EP is just what the doctor ordered. Take Me Home is filling, satisfying and packs a punch that’s sure to keep fans coming back for more. Signed to Parlophone / Elektra Records, PinkPantheress is an artist that comes with so much uniqueness, unpredictability, and mystery that inquires, leaving her the one you desire. Now folks, those are the ingredients that makes an artist GREAT! ~ Lamont Renzo Bracy
Everyone with a pulse remembers PinkPantheress debut mixtape in 2021, ‘ To Hell with It’, which spun the hit singles ‘Pain’ and ‘Just for Me’. It was at that juncture that we knew, without a doubt, PinkPantheress was a bonafide star. The only questions that were left unanswered was; How far would she rise in the industry? I believe PinkPantheress is about to answer all questions in 2023. No word if the ‘Take Me Home’ EP is the prelude to a 2023 album, but we can hope.
‘Take Me Home, the title track from the EP is a whole vibe! An escape from reality – living life as if we could only be young to the end of time. The song gives off an airy, relaxed up-tempo feel as PinkPantheress’ soft luxurious voice layers the track. A Keeper! The mid-track, ‘Do You Miss Me?,’ begs the question. Produced by Kaytranada and Phil, ‘Do You Miss Me, introduces some very unique synth’s and rhythms that are fire. Kaytranada is a genius; his blend of production works. The lead track, ‘Boy’s a liar,’ personally one of my favorites, is a reality song that asks, “Am I good enough?” I’m quite sure a lot of women ask the same question.
Overall, PinkPantheress knocks it out of the park with ‘Take Me Home’. The only question I have for the BBC’s Sound of 2022 poll winner is What’s Next?
