Cuco releases ‘Si Me Voy’ single with The Marías’ in front of North American tour

Cuco is quickly becoming one of the most decorated Chicano singer-songwriters in history. Reigning from sunny Hawthorne, California, Cuco has amassed tremendous fame with an astonishing 300+ million streams across numerous platforms of his chart topping singles, ‘Lo Que Siento’ in 2017 and ‘Bossa No Sé’ in 2019. To start 2023, Cuco released the trendy single, ‘First Of The Year,’ which was a warm-up of things to come. Cuco’s sophomore album, “Fantasy Gateway”, showed a young man coming into himself with a new perspective on life. The album was well received and spawned the single ‘Best Disaster’ which was a powerful nod to his growth as a producer and songwriter.

In preparation for his North American tour, Cuco partnered with The Marias to release ‘Si Mi Voy’. The single features Cuco and Maria Zardoya singing in Spanish on the beautiful ballad co-produced by Josh Conway of The Marias’. “If I Go” – ‘Si Me Voy’, is a high energy track that resonates with the soul. I believe every one that has been in love has experienced a love that is so true, you will follow to the depths of the earth! But question, do they feel the same?

Now! This is the exciting part! (Si Me Voy) ……. Directed by Jeff Desom and Carlos Lopez Estrada, the visuals is a microcosm of loves’ complex Rubi cube. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how much you love, in the end you are left holding the plants as the other person walks out of your life. The video shows Cuco standing in his front yard as his love (Maria Zardoya) leaves him with a small house plant and disappears in the sunset in a brown sedan. As Cuco watches her leave, he turns around and she repeats the process by giving him another plant. The whole time this is happening; a yard sale is in progress, a for-sale sign goes up, and a newly married couple move in. After leaving Cuco for the 5th time, the newly married couple is on the porch and the young lady goes into labor. Cuco’s love interest begins to pull off once again and is stopped by the newlywed couple to take them to the hospital. Ironic, right? After her fifth time leaving Cuco, the newlywed couple is on the porch admiring their new baby, and the five plants Cuco has stacked in his arms morph into one gigantic pot that represents the burden on his heart! Amazing job! Viewers are left asking themselves, at what price does heartbreak come? Is it worth it? Si Me Voy!

‘Si Me Voy’ comes as the prelude to Cuco’s North American tour which begins in San Francisco, California on February 27, 2023 and makes stops in San Diego, Las Vegas, Mexico City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and New York.
