Since the death of Dick Clark in 2012, the network has honored his legacy by continuing the program special which has been instrumental to the tradition of great performers bringing in the New Year. Dick Clark Productions and ABC, who have been partners on the program since 1974, unanimously ran the nation’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration.
