Ladies and Gentlemen, get to know the Rock band that is single handedly taking over America! Yes, the resurgence of real Rock N’ Roll is making a comeback, and a independent band is leading the charge. Meet, “Dirty Honey“, a great band from the city of angels, Los Angeles that is. With little less than four months left in the year, Dirty Honey is currently on the road and preparing to finish 2022 with a bang. Dirty Honey consists of lead lyricist Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, drummer Corey Coverstone and bassist Justin Smolian.
What started in Los Angeles in 2017, the band has pushed itself to mainstream stardom as the first independent band to have a Billboard Rock Songs #1 single with the hit “When I’m Gone” from the Dirty Honey EP. The momentum was in overdrive before the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020; however, the band wouldn’t be denied. As with many bands, the inability to tour was a major setback. Prior to the pandemic, Dirty Honey had plans to record their full length debut album in Australia during breaks in between tours. The recording of the debut album was put on hold as the band refined and polished the tracks.
The full length album debuted at #2 upon its release in 2021, with Dirty Honey’s first headline show selling out! The single “The Wire“, paved the way as it broke onto the top 20 charts, followed by “California Dreamin” and “Another Last Time.” The full length album with the same name as the EP, “Dirty Honey” was a epic collection of soon to be classics which also included fan favorite “No Warning“, a up-tempo track with crazy guitar hooks.
A great start for the band who started in Los Angeles playing gigs in nearby Santa Monica, and Ventura. In 2021, Dirty Honey took to the California Dreamin tour with Joyous Wolf as the opening act. In addition, the band opened for The Black Crowes on the Shake Your Money Maker Tour. The tour was a major success which set the stage for Dirty Honey’s first European tour opening for mainstream acts, Gun N’ Roses, Rival Sons and Kiss.
