In years past, some of the biggest names in entertainment has hosted the BET Hip Hop Awards show, which includes the likes of Katt Williams, Mike Epps and Snoop Dogg. Drum Roll please……… The 2022 host of the BET Hip Hop awards will be no other than the Grammy-nominated recording artist, actor, entrepreneur and personality Fat Joe. Deservingly so; Fat Joe has been representing the culture of brown people for decades and is regarded as a pioneer in entertainment.
Fat Joe is the perfect representation of diversity and inclusion in hip hop. With 30 years in the game, Fat Joe not only represent hip hop, but he represents Latin, Hispanic and people of color from all walks of life. Regarded as royalty, Fat Joe brings a energy and vibe that can only come from his Bronx, New York, upbringing. BET’s EVP, of Specials and Music Programming & Strategy Connie Orlando stated, “Fat Joe is hip hop royalty. He has represented the artform and the Bronx, the birthplace of hip hop, thought his outstanding musical career. The show will be taped from Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on September 30th, and the broadcast will premiere on October 4th 9 PM ET/PT exclusively on the BET Network. The BET Hip Hop Awards show began in 2006, and has quickly become the standard in recognizing hip hop. The BET Hip Hop Awards is about showing love and appreciation to today’s biggest names in the hip hop culture.
