The 2014 formed Indie pop duo Hovvdy, which consists of friends Will Taylor and Charlie Martin are back with another smash single entitled, ‘Portrait’. Released on December 26th, ‘Portrait’ is a heartbreak tale of the one who got away who keeps showing up in memory. Co-produced by Andrew Sarlo and Ben Littlejohn, the song rings in the melody of acoustic guitar, with a mellow touch of soft silhouettes of the traditional slowcore instrumentation Hovvdy is affectionately known for.
A ‘Portrait’ or sculpture frozen in its present state to cast reflections of distant memories. However, Hovvdy is full speed ahead as ‘Portrait’ is just a prelude for what the duo has in store in the New Year!
Currently, Hovvdy is gearing up for their upcoming dates with indie rock band Cold War Kids before performing overseas in the United Kingdom. In addition,
Hovvdy is reportedly working on a 5th studio album following their 2021 masterpiece ‘True Love’, a collection of songs of intimacy and susceptibility.
