What more could I say about International alternative pop artist Jessie Murph that hasn’t already been said; well, she is electric, daring and definitely unapologetic. Hailing from Huntsville, Alabama, Jessie Murph first burst onto the scene in early 2020 via TikTok and has been kickin ass and taking names ever since.
Fresh off the press, Jessie Murph team has announced a new single, ‘About You’ and a 29-city tour in support of her new mixtape “Drowning”, set to be released on February 10th. A well anticipated pre-Valentines day stocking stuffer of sweet alternative pop, ‘Drowning’ will ignite the romance with hard-to-truth ballads that are sure to set the soul on fire.
As a prelude to hold the fans waiting, Jessie Murph released ‘About You’, on January 10th. Written by Jessie Murph, Gabe Simon and Yakob, ‘About You’ is a tale of a toxic relationship in which the energy is reciprocated! It Doesn’t feel so good, does it? To be fair, Jessie Murph did release a disclaimer via her social media as the single was released;
“For legal reasons, I would like everyone to know I do not behave (anymore) like the lyrics y’all are about to hear on this”
Referring to the track, ‘About You’, Murph wastes no time of settling the score with lyrics such as;

The debut 11-track mixtape will not only include the smash lead-off single, but a pretoria of previous hits such as ‘Drunk in the Bathtub’, ‘How Could You’, ‘While You’re At It’, and the chart buster, ‘Always Been You’. In addition to the classics that have fans awaiting the new project, Jessie Murph has some new songs that will make “Drowning” a classic for decades to follow.
Signed to Columbia Records in 2021, Jessie Murph is already a RIAA Gold certified artist off the strength of the infectious single ‘Always Been You’, and from all indications ‘About You’, will eclipse those numbers.
