Lebron James and Maverick Carter announced the newly produced Movie “House Party”, which was originally slated to debut on HBO Max in 2018, will debut January 13, 2023. The House Party movie is produced by the duo’s SpringHill Entertainment, and directed by Calmatic. Not to be confused with the classic original House Party starring Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin, this version may follow the same premise, but the script is out of this world.
The cinematic film is written by Atlanta writer Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori. House Party stars Tosin Cole and up and coming star Jacob Latimore (Kevin and Damon, who plays house cleaners. One problem; Kevin finds himself in a desperate situation as he must come up with an enormous amount of loot for his daughter’s education! Bing, a solution pops into his cabeza, why not throw a House Party?
As chance would have it, one of their clients is NBA star Lebron James, and you can guess……. (the rest is history). The House Party movie is sure to capture the mind and hearts of this generation, as the original House Party did nearly 23 years ago.
As with the original House Party, the soundtrack for House Party will definitely be a fan favorite with the lead off single, “2 Step”, by 2 Chainz serve as the perfect appetizer. In addition to the single, the cast boasts major star power from the likes of Tinashe, Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi and a cameo from both Kid and Play from the original.
