When it comes to leaving a legacy, there was no one bigger than the King of Pop, ‘Michael Jackson’. It’s been nearly 15 years since his untimely passing, one thing is for certain; Michael Jackson’s impact on the culture will live on for eternity. From pop, rock, R&B, and even hip-hop fans and admirers have been touched by his musical grace. Offset, an icon in his own right, has just released the visuals to his hit single “FAN”, a masterful creation that adapts some of the most iconic scenes from the King of Pop videos.
The visuals for “Fan” are an unbelievable tribute to one of the most iconic videos ever created. Offset, incorporates scenes from Thriller, Billie Jean, and adds his signature twist to create “FAN” as a cinematic masterpiece. The video walks you down a lane that forces you to reminisce on the greatness of the star who captivated a nation. Assisted by Kai Cenat, the video begins with a re-creation of the news breaking pandemonium made by the YouTube star earlier this summer. From there the visuals transform from the very scene, going full MJ mode with Paige Hurd acting as Offset’s girlfriend, like the scene in Thriller when Michael Jackson transforms into a werewolf.
To set the visuals off, Offset cleverly steps into a scene of Mr. Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” set, choreography, and all! It seems, OFFSET is going all in with a splash in liue to his forthcoming studio album, “Set It Off”, which is scheduled to be released October 13th.
