With a little more than a month in the year 2023, the hip-hop landscape is more diverse than ever. As with any movement, the culture of hip-hop is complex and can be separated by only one’s preference. One thing is sure, the wave of pioneers and new comers to the genre has left the gate of possibility wide open.
ProMediaBank, along with its conglomerates has pierced the realms of the galaxy to find a comprehensive list of artists that not only represent the culture, but swing the pendulum of expanding the genre to unimaginable heights. From that cold night in August of 1973, where DJ Kool Herc and his friend Coke La Rock hosted a back-to-school party in the Bronx, New York to just about every spot on the globe, hip-hop is a relevant force driving today’s culture.
Hip-hop is a art form of expression that transcends creativity, emotions, and the ability to illustrate energy in word. Today, we celebrate hip-hop and the many achievements and paths created as it has become the most popular genre in music.
Spearheaded by Legends Recordings, a group of artists, collaborators and coordinators are coming together August 11, 2023 to commemorate and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip-hop! Legendary M.C. and statesman for the genre Ice-T and activist/rapper Mysonne will serve as the ambassadors for The 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop! It’s gonna be a celebration of Epic proportions. Please join and donate to the movement!
