All seems to be right with the world! After a week-long public feud that placed the son of hip-hop mogul Master P at odds with his son Romeo Miller over financial issues that stemmed from over a decade. The public back and forth internet lashing came during the Christmas holidays and left fans and spectators confused on what could have caused such a disturbance.
The feud began a little over a week ago when Romeo called out his father publicly for a post regarding the suicide of DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss. The post sent Romeo into a weird headspace, wondering where was the misconnect between Master P and his daughter Tytyana Miller, who suffered with mental health and died from an accidental drug overdose in May 2022. Romeo Miller posted in a instagram story: “I’ve seen a man avoid his own childrens struggle with suicide and depression, but post another man whom passed today that he doesn’t even know. Y’all idols be lost. Better stop following the blind. Watch when it’s revealed.”
Immediately, the social media world took the post and the moment went viral. When Master P got wind of his son’s accusations, the two began a nasty back and forth social media war that was just ugly. Master P accused his son of being disrespectful and ungrateful of the opportunity that he had afforded him throughout the years. After letting his feelings be known, Master P pulled back and stated, “Son, I love you. Stop trying to get people to feel sorry for you, and lets come up with a solution.”
The public display of displeasure from both escalated with Rome Miller disclosing that his father had withheld earnings from the Rap Snacks brand that has become popular across the country.
On Saturday, December 31, 2022, Master P and Romeo had a sit down conversation where the two talked and seemed to come to a resolution on their past differences. To signify the moment, Rome posted a post of himself and his father embracing each other with the caption, “very hard conversion”, and their mending the relationship. The post drew likes and reposts all across social media.
Master P reciprocated the gesture and posted the post to his instagram account with the caption, “Happy New Years 2023, growth, self accountability, family unity and focusing on the future.” Master P quoted a scripture from Philippians 3:13.
“Love takes growth and forgiveness, seek God first, and everything else will fall in place.”
I think I would be the first to say, “The world is taking a sigh of relief.” The Miller family is today, one of the pillars of success we have that is making a difference in the lives of so many. I respect and tilt my hat to both sides, as it takes courage and humility to work through problems in a civil manner.
