R&B Songstress Andrea Nicole sets the mode with New Single ‘In My Bed’ feat. ToNe Atlanta and Street Sweepa

Meet R&B sensation, Andrea Nicole! The beautiful songstress from Henry County, Georgia is back with her new single, “In My Bed” which is disturbing airwaves nationally. Andrea Nicole might be new to some, but for many in the industry, Andrea has been on the radar for quite some time. In 2014, Andrea made her debut with the soulful packed track, Miss My Baby. The first thing that grabs your attention is her powerful voice. When I say songstress, Andrea Nicole is the personification of the word. Andrea Nicole’s voice is strong, sexy, sassy and more importantly, captivating! The newly released “In My Bed,” is the perfect blend of r&b infused with a touch of  hip-hop and sexy soul. Written by Keyiara ‘Penkey’ and Street Sweepa, In My Bed is a throwback of Eugene Wilde’s 1984 smash record Gotta Get You Home Tonight. Super Producer ToNe Atlanta is the mastermind behind the track which definitely aligns with his craft of creating timeless r&b classics.

“In My Bed” is for lovers. It’s good to hear a song with substance and standards when it comes to the sacred act of sharing affection with your partner. The song just feels good, fun and instantly ushers in a need to be with the one you love. Andrea Nicole vocals sets the track into overdrive, as she delivers on-time bellows of bliss. ‘Just Make Sure You Do My Body Right’ ~ Andrea Nicole tells you how to love her, no questions asked! Andrea’s style of up-tempo love themed r&b ballads with a touch of hip-hop fits perfectly in these turbulent times. The dynamic duo of Andrea Nicole and Street Sweepa makes for a classic that’s sure to change the dynamic. Street Sweepa, is a tremendous artist out of Atlanta by way of Albany Georgia.

Question:  What can we expect from Andrea Nicole?

Since January 2022, Andrea Nicole has been on a mission to engage and inspire her fans. First dropping the sassy single, “Should’ve”, Andrea has been on it, later she released the hit, ‘Good Luvah’. Andrea Nicole is love; the content matter of her music is what many would consider relationship awareness. Andrea illustrates through song her past experiences of love, both good and bad. Andrea gives listeners a behind the scene look of situations that she has experienced herself, or witnessed of others. She feels that relationships can be difficult and confusing – but at the same time rewarding while providing a basis for each of her song’s thought-provoking messages.

As with many of the legendary musicians in r&b, there is a common theme, The Church.  From Whitney Houston to Monica, most musicians with strong vocals and persona have originated at church. Andrea Nicole originally began her singing career as a part of a traveling gospel choir. Andrea has shared the stage with gospel legends such as Dorinda Clark-Cole, Vickie Winans, Donald Lawrence and Hezekiah Walker. Andrea Nicole is blessed with a commanding voice, which has been compared to the great Toni Braxton, due in part by her ability to change range and tones.

Rumor has it, Andrea Nicole is hard at work on an album. We hope so, as Andrea Nicole is maturing into a groundbreaking artist with a powerful voice, message and energy that is needed in this World.~ Renzo

Exclusive Interview

ProMediaBank:  Andrea, where you are from, and what was the spark that got you interested in the music industry?

Andrea Nicole: I am from Henry County GA, south of Atlanta. The spark that got me interested in the music industry was singing in my church choir as a child, school talent shows, and singing with my family at family gatherings. Music just completes me. It makes my soul happy.

ProMediaBank:  Tell us a little about your first project, and how do you think you have grown since?

Andrea Nicole: The first record “Miss My Baby” was released in 2014. I received a great response on that record. I still have people reach out on social media or if I’m out and about, they stop to tell me how much that record resonated with them. I feel that my music has definitely evolved since then. The production and overall quality of my music has definitely evolved.

ProMediaBank: “In My Bed”? What was the creative process?

Andrea Nicole: Yes I love that record! Actually I was contacted by a guy in the industry named Street Sweepa and he sent me the beat and the hook and I was like yes let’s do it! The song was inspired by Eugene Wilde’s version (Gotta Get You Home Tonight) released in 1984. I contacted a friend of mine Keyiara (Penkey) who is a phenomenal artist and songwriter and she came through with the verses for me. She has written for August Alsina, Jacquees, K. Michelle, Chris Brown and more. Street Sweepa, ToNe Atlanta and I knocked the song out in just a few hours. Everything just came together. We made it our own.

ProMediaBnk: What project are you working on now? What are your plans for 2023?

Andrea Nicole: I am always working on music in some way or another. Street Sweepa and I are currently working on a new record… It’s definitely a vibe! I have more collaborations with Keyiara as well that will be release 2023. I will also be releasing a gospel record that I wrote years ago. It is called “You Never Left Me”. It is my testimony. I’m excited about what’s to come.

ProMediaBank: Tell us about your team and support group?

Andrea Nicole: My team and support consists of my family and friends. I feel so blessed to have positive people around me who truly have my back.

ProMediaBank: What would you consider as your defining moment?

Andrea Nicole: A defining moment for me is when I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2015. It’s an inflammatory/autoimmune disease that can affect any part of the body but most commonly the lungs and lymph nodes. The late legendary comedian Bernie Mac suffered from the disease as well. It was a very hard time in my life because I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know if I could ever do music again and that was heartbreaking. I took couple of years off from doing music to begin treatment and gradually made my way back into the booth to record.

ProMediaBank:  As a female artist, the competition is fierce, what makes Andrea Nicole stand out from the rest?

Andrea Nicole: I think it’s my presence and connection to my audience. The lyrics to my songs speak the truth are real life situations. The listeners can relate.

ProMediaBank:  Where do you see yourself in the entertainment industry in five years?

Andrea Nicole: I will still be making music and touching lives. You’ll see me at the top of the charts.

ProMediaBank: Who are your biggest inspirations?

Andrea Nicole: My mom is my biggest inspiration. She is strong, loving, nurturing, and a God fearing woman. I am the woman I am today because of her. She is my shero Comparisons? I am always being compared to the singer Monica. People say all the time that my music and voice reminds them of her.

ProMediaBank:  how would you describe your music? Style?

Andera Nicole: My music is edgy. It’s rnb laced with the edginess of hip-hop.

ProMediaBank: Are there any causes or positions that you are passionate about?

Andrea Nicole: Voting is very important to me. I feel we all need to voice our opinion because it determines our future.

ProMediaBank: Last but not least, What is a day like, hanging with Andrea Nicole?

Andrea Nicole: A day with me is pretty chill. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. When I do get out of the house I enjoy going out to eat, or going to a comedy show. I love to eat and laugh lol!
