With rising fuel prices inflicting most of the world’s economy, many are looking for cost saving measures and resources to off-set what many would call an impending recession.
For those living beyond the richter scale of the middle class, luxury is still a sought after commodity. As automakers scramble to develop the technology to transform gasoline powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EV), the push for lower emissions across the board is underway. Luxury giants such as Jaguar, Mercedes and even Porsche are joining the race by offering EV versions of their most popular brand. Regarded as one of the leaders of luxury vehicles, Rolls-Royce just announced it will be rolling out an all-electric powered two door coupe, the Spectre Super Coupe.
The production of the Spectre will begin in 2023 at its UK Rolls-Royce factory. Influenced by the aerodynamics style and sleek physique of a luxury yacht, the Spectre boasts a wide grille, signature rearward opening doors, and 557 horsepower under the hood that’s sure to get you there in 4.4 seconds. The Spectre will feature four wheel steering to navigate the 6,600 lbs. Of mass appeal around lifes courses. With about six inches of length and nearly five inches wider than the Wraith, the Spectre offers the ultimate in cabin room with Rolls-Royce signature level of quietness which separates the outside world. To complement the interior, the Spectre comes with an astounding 4796 “Stars” which not only appear as a constellation on the headliner, but now includes the doors and rear side panels.
Rolls-Royce plans to convert all their gasoline powered vehicles to electric by 2030. While it has been proven by independent studies, it is estimated that 27% of greenhouse gas emissions is attributed to vehicles. Rolls-Royce is committed to the cause of lowering the emissions levels. The all-electric battery has an EPA range of more than 250 miles on a full charge. Green living consultant and EV expert Seth Leitman, professionally known as “The Green Living Guy,” and President of the Greater Hudson Valley Electric Vehicle Association applauds Roll-Royce and their efforts to offer the Spectre as a plausible alternative for those with the funds to afford such luxury. “The future of the Automobile Industry depends on a collective effort by all automobile manufacturers, both economy and luxury builds.” stated Seth Leitman.
What’s the Price Tag?
The Rolls-Royce Spectre comes with a hefty price tag; however, more than 300 U.S. buyers have already put in their deposit to purchase the luxury EV vehicle. The total base price starts at $413k. The ultraluxury EV Spectre super-coupe will be ready for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2023.
