All roads lead to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles to share in the legendary Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday celebration. The two day concert event, April 29th and 30th has been in the works since the country star’s 85th birthday. Billed as the hottest show in town, tickets are going for upwards of $500 dollars with fans and friends traveling from far and beyond to witness the recent 2x Grammy Awards winning artist for best country album category for “A Beautiful Time”, and best country solo performance for “Live Forever: A Tribute to Billy Joe Shaver”. Willie Nelson is nominated to the 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , and is expected to be unanimously voted in his favor.
The concert executive producer, Keith Wortman, stated that Willie Nelson birthday celebration is, “It’s just getting bigger and bigger by the moment. If anyone deserves this, it’s ole Willie boy.”
The list of performers taking the stage is astonishing. The list includes acts such as Shooter Jennings, Snoop Dogg, Beck, Bobby Weir, Booker T. Jones, George Strait, Lukas Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Ziggy Marley, The Lumineers, Tom Jones, Norah Jones, Dwight Yoakam, Dave Matthews, Chris Stapleton, and many more.
The list of presenters will include, Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Jennifer Garner, Gabriel Iglesias, Chelsea Handler, and Ethan Hawke. Willie Nelson will perform on both nights of his birthday celebration, and is expected to have special duets, and collaborations with an array of stars .
