The White House Confirms President Biden’s Intent to Run for Re-election in 2024

The White House confirmed Tuesday that President Joe Biden intends to run for re-election in 2024. The confirmation comes in as the third source of the 79-year old President’s intentions. Earlier last week President Joe Biden told Reverend Al Sharpton who shared the information with his staff at the Sharpton’s National Action Network. Sharpton, a long-time ally of the President, spoke of a conversation between the two months prior regarding the subject of a possible 2024 run stating, “I’m going to do it again.”

This go around might pose a more difficult challenge. At this juncture, it’s not clear who will be the Republican Presidential nominee; however, there are more than a fair share of issues that will arise on the Democrat end of the spectrum.  With an economy emerging from the recession and the highest fuel surge in decade’s, many Americans want change.

The White House has kept the same posture as it insists Biden plans to run in 2024, despite low approval ratings and questions regarding his age. The pulse of the country through several polls indicate that Democrats are divided on support for the President. Most of the country were delighted with the results from the 2020 election; wanting a steady hand at the controls. In 2024, the issues and demands from the people will pose unprecedented challenges.

With President Biden’s approval rating approving to over 40%, the timing just might be right. The White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre maintains that the President has been optimistic on his chances of running in 2024 from the beginning, stating, “The President has said this himself, he intends to run in 2024. If all speculations are correct, President Biden should be making it official in the next month by filing the necessary requisite with the Federal Election Commission.
