Both Britain and the U.S. have been in talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to show full support of Israel. The show of solidarity comes after a rough weekend of blood shed by Hamas against Israel on the Gaza Strip. In return, Israel has ordered a mandatory evacuation with nearly 1-million fleeing Gaza.
The current death toll in Gaza and Israel has reached 1,500+, with 22 Americans amongst the numbers. As a result, the United States has moved the USS Gerald Ford Carrier Strike Group to the region, along with warplanes and assets to aid Israel. In addition to the build-up in the Mediterranean, U.S. officials announced Monday that a second aircraft carrier is heading to the area.
In a show of support for Israel, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is sending surveillance, two Royal Navy ships, and reconnaissance aircraft to Israel. The U.S. and Britain are both committed to unwavering support for Israel and its municipalities in the region. Special forces from both countries are assisting with intelligence and planning, according to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The U.S. and its allies unequivocally condemns the horrific attacks on Israel and the Palestine people in the Gaza Strip region, proposing a humanitarian corridor for those who choose to leave.
