Upcoming Jacksonville Florida rapper Foolio tragically gunned down at Birthday Celebration

When will the madness stop? Gun violence has once again taken the life of an upcoming superstar in the hip-hop world. Early Sunday morning, Foolio’s lawyer Lewis Fusco confirmed the reports that Charles Jones aka Foolio was shot and killed in what appeared to be a deliberate ambush. A shooting that left the young rapper slain also resulted in three other victims shot in stable condition at the local hospital.

Foolio was celebrating his 26th birthday at a highly publicized by invite only pool party at an undisclosed Airbnb, according to his official Instagram account. After being kicked out of the Airbnb due to the number of attendees, the party was moved to a Holiday Inn in downtown Tampa, where the rapper was ambushed by armed assailants. At this time there are no motives or suspects and anyone with information should call the Tampa, Florida Police Department at (813) 231-6130.

Foolio was amid becoming one of the best rappers to come out of the State of Florida. With six albums and riding the wave of his latest project “Resurrection”, which spawned the infectious hit ‘Blood Ties’, Foolio was riding the wave to hip-hop supremacy. The rapper often spoke of unwarranted hate and attempts on his life and wanted to be an advocate for the stop of gun violence.

To answer the question; “When will gun violence stop”? We don’t have an answer, and maybe we never will. To the family, friends, and fans of Charles Jones aka Foolio, we send our condolences, prayers, and hope as his legacy will live on through his music~
