Warner Bros. Studios is about to set the record straight with the release of its new feature film, “Blue Beetle” to be released in the U.S. August 18th. The film will be the popular DC Super Hero’s first time to film. Directed by Angel Manuel Soto, the release of the official trailer, “Blue Beetle” will not only satisfy fans, but should become the biggest box office smash, perhaps ever!
Starring Xolo Mariduena as Jaime Reyes / Blue Beetle and Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, the movie will definitely have the star power and punch to make it a classified hit. In addition to the stars, the film will feature Driana Barraza as Jaime’s grandmother, Damian Alcazar as Jaime’s father, and Elpidia Carrillo as his mother. The story follows a plot of Jaime Reyes, a college graduate returning home to institute change, but finds out he is treading in unfamiliar territory.
Jaime finds himself face to face with “The Scarab,” an alien biotechnology form that gives him superpowers as the “Blue Beetle”. Jaime instantly becomes a superhero. Jaime’s arch rival becomes Victoria Ford as she is the film’s villain. The irony of the plot is that Victoria is granted the same power as Jaime. In the comic, Victoria is an ally of Jaime, but in the film, the plot twist is iconic. The screen play by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer is based on characters from DC.
The supporting cast consists of Raoul Max Trujillo as Carapax, Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord, George Lopez as Rudy, Belissa Escobedo as Milagro, and Harvey Guillen as Dr. Sanchez.
