Dutch metal Band Within Temptation is at it again, with their freshly released visuals for the single, “The Fire Within.” The standalone single is a welcoming masterpiece originally written in 2019 at the start of the pandemic. ‘The Fire Within,’ is a testament of never giving up. The Fire Within is that unsettling rumble inside, usually before a feat unproven which builds upon the courage to do it anyway. A powerful capsule of motivation, and millions of fans across the globe would concur.
The visuals were masterfully constructed with various clips from their “Worlds Collide” European tour with American rock band Evanescence. The “Worlds Collide Tour” was supposed to begin in the Spring of 2020; however, due to Covid19 restrictions and bands throughout Europe, the tour kicked off on November 9, 2022, in Munich, Germany. After being postponed on four previous attempts, The Worlds Collide Tour was finally successful with 19 dates in 2022. With nearly 27-years as a symphonic metal band, ‘Within Temptation’ was ecstatic and ready to rock out in front of fans, once again. Perfect timing as the video dropped just in time for holiday cheer. The imagery is amazing, giving off a 3-D effect as it puts viewers into a virtual experience of being front row!
The production of ‘The Fire Within,’ contains amazing riffs, exploding drums and Sharon Den Adel classic on-time vocals. It’s going down with the thunder!
The thing is we’ve been around for such a long time that we try to be inspired by new bands that we hear and implement it with our own kind of sound and try to stay updated with the sound that is sounding more modern nowadays and what is more ‘in’ nowadays. Not to be going along with new sounds but something that sounds refreshing and inspiring to us. And that keeps us going and makes it fun for us to make still music.
